Eastern Railway Inaugurates New Technical Facilities at Kanchrapara Workshop
Eastern Railway improved several facilities at its historic Kanchrapara Workshop.
New centres were opened to work on train flushing and fire and smoke detection systems.
A room for testing LHB train equipment was also inaugurated.
The railway hopes these facilities will help workers maintain trains better.
General Manager Gitika Pandey inspected the workshop and watched locomotive and coach repair work.
She also spoke with employees about their needs and problems.
A renovated museum and art gallery made from scrap materials was opened.
The workshop has repaired railway vehicles and equipment for many years.
Eastern Railway inaugurated Centres of Excellence for EPPFS and FSDS at Kanchrapara Workshop.
General Manager Gitika Pandey also opened an LHB Equipment Testing Room and LHB Coach POH Shop.
The facilities are intended to improve technical expertise, testing capabilities and maintenance standards.
Pandey inspected workshop operations, flagged off a POH locomotive and met employees, unions and associations.
