GVMC Intensifies Visakhapatnam Relief Operations Amid Continuing Heavy Rain
Heavy rain continued in Visakhapatnam after a cyclonic system crossed the coast.

By Thursday evening, officials had received 143 complaints and solved 140 of them.

Fifty-eight people were moved to safer shelters with food and drinking water.

No people or animals were reported killed.

GVMC received 143 rain-related complaints by 7 pm Thursday and resolved 140 of them.
All 89 reported tree-fall incidents and 15 drain-overflow cases were addressed.
Fifty-eight residents were moved to safer shelters across 56 rehabilitation centres as a precaution.
No human or livestock casualties were reported, while sanitation and water-quality measures were intensified.
