Section 22-A Prohibited Land List Shrinks by 47,440 Acres
The government keeps a list of land that cannot easily be transferred or registered.
Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said this list became smaller by 47,440 acres.
Before December 7, 2023, it covered more than 1.02 crore acres.
By August 31, it covered 1,02,05,250 acres.
About 23,000 acres were taken off the list using the TM15 system.
Officials said those acres had been recorded incorrectly.
Other land was removed under earlier government orders, memos and regularisation orders.
The minister said the work was meant to fix old mistakes rather than add new land to the prohibited list.

As of August 31, the list covered 1,02,05,250 acres.
About 23,000 acres were removed through the TM15 module after incorrect recording was identified.
The government attributed the reduction mainly to correcting legacy land classifications and updating records.
