Pregnant Woman Killed After Alleged Sexual Assault in Baramati
A 30-year-old pregnant woman named Vaishali Tanaji Pawar was found badly injured at her home in Baramati.
Her husband discovered her after returning from work on Saturday night.
Police said she had been attacked with a hammer.
They also alleged that she was sexually assaulted and strangled with a towel.
Police arrested a 26-year-old man named Ganesh Ramchandra Mane.
They said he admitted to the attack during questioning.
Police also said jewellery and the alleged hammer were recovered.
The investigation is still continuing.
Vaishali Tanaji Pawar, 30, was found unconscious and injured at her home in Pandare village, Baramati.
Police said she was allegedly attacked with a hammer, sexually assaulted and strangled with a towel.
Her husband found her on Saturday night after returning home from work and raised an alarm.
Malegaon police arrested 26-year-old Ganesh Ramchandra Mane within two hours of the crime being reported.
Police said they recovered the alleged weapon and jewellery reportedly taken from the victim.
