Minister Promises Palm Oil Factory in Mulakalapalli
Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao visited Mulakalapalli in Bhadradri Kothagudem district to talk to farmers.
He promised to build a palm oil factory if farmers plant oil palm on 10,000 more acres.
He also advised farmers to grow different crops to save water because there might be less rain.
He suggested growing crops like green gram, black gram, and red gram instead of paddy, which needs more water.
The minister also talked about using solar power for farming and building farm ponds to save rainwater.
He said the government will bring water from the Godavari River to help farmers.
The district collector mentioned that Bhadradri Kothagudem is the top district in Telangana for oil palm farming.
The minister and collector also gave farmers seeds at half price to help them grow more crops.
