Low Salaries for Top Engineering Graduates in India

Some of the smartest students in India go to top engineering schools like NIT Calicut.

These students have to work very hard to get in.

But when they graduate, they are often offered very low salaries.

For example, some students who study mechanical engineering get only Rs 3 lakh per year, and architecture students get even less.

This is much lower than what people expected.

A man named Maheshwer Peri, who runs a website about careers, thinks this is a big problem.

He says that the best students in the country should get better pay.

He wants the government and schools to do something about this.
