Bank Employees in Ongole Protest for Five-Day Work Week

People who work at banks in India help customers every day, but some of them are not happy with their work schedule.

They want to work only five days a week, like bank workers in many other countries.

On Wednesday, a group of bank workers got together to show how they feel.

They stood outside the State Bank of India office in a city called Ongole.

They held a big protest so their bosses would listen to them.

The group's name is the United Forum of Bank Unions, or UFBU for short.

A leader named Rajiv Ratan Dev spoke for the workers.

He said they want a five-day work week and some other things too.

The workers say banks in other countries already give their staff five days off.

They want banks in India to do the same thing.
