Netanyahu rejects Trump's 15-point Gaza plan, demands full Hamas disarmament
There has been a long war between Israel and a group called Hamas in a place called Gaza.
The President of the United States, Donald Trump, made a plan with 15 parts to try to end the fighting.
The plan says Hamas should give up its weapons while Israeli soldiers slowly leave Gaza.
Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel's leader, says Israel does not accept the plan.
He says Israeli soldiers will only leave after Hamas gives up all of its weapons.
Hamas says it already agreed to the plan and expects the United States to make sure Israel follows it too.
For now, Israel has stopped most of its attacks in Gaza but says it will still act if it sees danger.
The plan would also bring in helpers from other countries to keep the peace and let more food and supplies into Gaza.
Many people have been hurt in the fighting, and leaders are still talking about how to make peace.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rejected Donald Trump's 15-point Gaza roadmap at a cabinet meeting on Sunday, saying Israel will not withdraw until Hamas is genuinely disarmed of all weaponry.
Israel has effectively halted attacks in Gaza since Monday and agreed it would no longer carry out targeted assassinations, acting only against what it perceives as immediate threats.
Senior Hamas official Basem Naim said the group remains committed to the roadmap agreed in Cairo 10 days ago and expects the U.S. guarantor to press Netanyahu to adhere to it.
The plan provides for a temporary Palestinian committee of technocrats, an International Stabilization Force, and an Israeli withdrawal sector by sector as disarmament progresses.
Gaza health officials say more than 1,250 people, most of them civilians, have been killed in Israeli attacks since the October 2025 ceasefire, and four Israeli soldiers have been killed.
