Malayalam Singers Join Kerala’s Anti-Drug Campaign With Album
Kerala is running a campaign called Operation Toofan to fight illegal drugs.
Famous Malayalam singers made a special music album to support this campaign.
The album is called ‘Toofan ki Awaaz’.
K J Yesudas, K S Chitra and M G Sreekumar sang on it.
It was released at a press club in Thiruvananthapuram.
The album will be available to the public soon.
Police said they had arrested many people and seized several kinds of drugs.
Police and schools have also held awareness classes and counseling sessions about the dangers of drugs.
K J Yesudas, K S Chitra and M G Sreekumar contributed songs to the album ‘Toofan ki Awaaz’.
The album supports Kerala’s anti-narcotics campaign, Operation Toofan, and was released at a press club in Thiruvananthapuram.
The album was jointly produced by Global Kerala Initiative-Keraleeyam and is expected to become available to the public soon.
Police said 12,384 people had been arrested and 11,498 cases registered under Operation Toofan since June 2.
Authorities reported seizures of MDMA, cannabis, brown sugar and cannabis plants, alongside thousands of awareness and counseling sessions.
