Omar Abdullah Rebuts Nadda on J&K Recruitment Scandals
Omar Abdullah, the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, has strongly denied claims made by Union Minister J.P. Nadda that his government was responsible for a paper leak in the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (SSB) exams.
Abdullah stated that the incident occurred in 2022, before his government took office in 2024.
He also pointed out that the High Court had directed the formation of a committee to investigate the irregularities, but no public action has been taken on its findings.
Meanwhile, Leader of Opposition Sunil Kumar Sharma accused Abdullah of patronizing Mushtaq Peer, the alleged mastermind of the 2012 MBBS entrance examination scam.
Abdullah also discussed efforts to strengthen the startup ecosystem in J&K and the need for long-term infrastructure protection due to recurring heavy rainfall and cloudbursts.
