Odisha's Rs 8,300 Crore Coastal Highway Project

Odisha is building a new coastal highway that will connect important places like Rameshwar, Konark, and Paradeep.

This highway will be 160.18 km long and cost Rs 8,300.79 crore.

It will have four lanes from Rameshwar to Konark and two lanes from Konark to Paradeep.

The highway will make travel faster and safer, reducing the time it takes to go from Rameshwar to Paradeep by about 2 hours and 30 minutes.

It will also connect important places like Paradeep Port, Puri Railway Station, and Puri Airport.

The highway will pass through four districts and will make it easier for people to visit important cultural and religious sites like the Jagannath Temple and the Konark Sun Temple.

It will also help tourism by making it easier to visit beaches, heritage sites, and natural places.

The highway is expected to create new opportunities for local businesses and support sustainable tourism.
