Kareena Kapoor Khan is modeling a new clothing collection by designer Ritu Kumar.

The two women have been friends for a long time.

Their connection is also linked to a special family heirloom.

An old piece connected to the Begum of Bhopal was given to Sharmila Tagore, who wore it at her wedding.

Ritu Kumar later restored it for Kareena to wear at her wedding to Saif Ali Khan.

The new collection mixes traditional Indian designs with modern clothing shapes.

Kareena wears outfits including a cape, denim jeans, gowns, jackets and saris.

The clothes use detailed embroidery, zardozi, Jamawar fabric and colorful prints.
