RECPDCL gave two special companies to the companies that won bids to build transmission projects.
Power Grid Corporation of India Limited won the project in Rajasthan.
Ashoka Buildcon Limited won the project in Maharashtra.
The Rajasthan project will carry up to 6,000 megawatts of power.
It will use a very long high-voltage line between Barmer-II and South Kalamb.
The Maharashtra project will build a large electricity substation and several connecting lines.
The Rajasthan project is planned to take 54 months.

RECPDCL handed over two project-specific SPVs to Power Grid Corporation of India Limited and Ashoka Buildcon Limited on 23 September 2026.
Barmer HVDC Power Transmission Limited covers a 6,000 MW inter-state transmission project connecting Barmer-II and South Kalamb.
The Barmer project includes a roughly 973.41-kilometre, ±800 kV HVDC bipole line and has a 54-month implementation schedule.
Sakoli Power Transmission Limited covers a 400/220/132 kV air-insulated substation in Maharashtra and related transmission lines.
The Sakoli project includes multiple transformers and lines linking Sakoli with Bhandara, Deori and Moragaon Arjuni, with a 24-month schedule.
