Suspected Poacher Arrested in MM Hills
Early on Monday morning, forest officials in the Male Mahadeshwara Wildlife Sanctuary in Chamarajanagar district caught some men who were trying to hunt wild boars.
One of the men, Anvith, was hurt in the leg when the forest officials shot at them to stop them from running away.
Anvith was taken to the hospital and is doing okay.
The other three men got away, and the forest officials are still looking for them.
Forest officials arrested a suspected poacher, Anvith, after a confrontation in the Male Mahadeshwara Wildlife Sanctuary.
Three other suspected poachers escaped, prompting a search operation by the Forest Department.
The confrontation occurred between 3 am and 4 am when forest officials intercepted the suspects in an Alto car.
Anvith sustained a gunshot injury to his right leg during the scuffle and was taken to the hospital.
The condition of the arrested suspect, Anvith, is reported to be stable.
