APSRTC hospital gets Rs 22 lakh advanced diagnostic analyser
A big bus company in India got a new machine for its hospital.
The machine is called an immunoassay analyser and it cost 22 lakh rupees.
It helps doctors do many kinds of blood tests quickly.
The machine can check for thyroid and heart problems, vitamins, and some viruses.
It is very accurate, working correctly more than 99 times out of 100.
It can test about 60 samples in half an hour and up to 100 samples in one hour.
This means patients can get their results and treatment faster.
The bus company's workers, retired workers, and their families can use the hospital's new machine.
Now they may not need to visit private laboratories for these tests.
The company's leader opened the machine and told doctors to take good care of all patients.
The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) installed a Rs 22 lakh fully automated immunoassay analyser at its Central Hospital in Vidyadharapuram, Vijayawada.
APSRTC vice-chairman and managing director N Bala Subrahmanyam inaugurated the advanced diagnostic equipment on Wednesday.
The analyser can perform tests including thyroid profiles (T3, T4, TSH), tumour markers (CA 19-9, CA 125, PSA), cardiac markers, Vitamin-D and Vitamin-B12 tests, and viral markers for Hepatitis-B, Hepatitis-C and RVD.
The equipment has more than 99 per cent accuracy and can process around 60 samples in 30 minutes and up to 100 samples in an hour.
The facility aims to reduce the dependence of serving and retired employees and their family members on private laboratories.
