Two attempts to tranquillise the leopard missed, prompting officials to bring a larger crane for another attempt.
A 25-member rescue team, police and Rajasthan Armed Constabulary personnel are securing the area.
Officials have placed a net beneath the tree and ordered a cage; no attacks have been reported.
