This was the fourth leopard caught in that area since August 2.
The forest workers took the leopard to their office to have a doctor check if it was healthy.

A leopard was captured on Sunday night in a cage installed at a farmhouse near Murtiha village in the Belrayan forest range.
It is the fourth leopard captured in the Belrayan range of the Dudhwa buffer zone since August 2.
The captured leopard was brought to range headquarters for medical examination and further course of action.
Cages had been set up at sensitive spots in view of rising leopard movement in the area.
Forest teams are regularly patrolling, and the captures follow recent attacks on villagers in the area.
