Piyush Goyal said BRICS countries sold about $6 trillion worth of goods and services abroad in 2024.

He said this was much higher than the roughly $900 billion they exported in 2003.

BRICS countries now make up about 24% of all global exports.

That means nearly one-quarter of worldwide exports come from these countries.

Goyal spoke at a large business meeting called the BRICS Business Forum.

Business representatives discussed problems that can make international trade harder.

They also discussed farming technology, services, women-led businesses and digital business.

The meeting took place before the BRICS Summit starts on Saturday.
