Vizag: Man Held for Swapping Debit Cards, Stealing Money
Some bad people try to trick others and take their money.
A man in a city called Vizag was caught by the police for doing just that.
He went to places called ATMs, where people go to get cash from their bank accounts.
He would pretend to be nice and offer to help older people and women use the machine.
While helping, he secretly swapped their real bank cards with old, expired cards.
The people also told him their secret PIN numbers, which he should never have known.
After they left, he used their cards and PINs to take money out of their accounts.
The police say he may have done this trick more than 60 times.
When they caught him, they found money and a motorcycle with him.
The police are still working to find out exactly how many people he tricked.
Vizag city police arrested a 30-year-old man, identified as Palla Surendra Kumar, for allegedly swapping debit cards and withdrawing money from people's accounts at ATM kiosks.
He allegedly targeted elderly persons and women, offering to help them withdraw cash and swapping their debit cards with expired cards.
Police said he later used the victims' cards and the PINs they had shared with him to withdraw money.
