Venkaiah Naidu to Lead Atal Smriti Nyas
M Venkaiah Naidu, a senior leader from the BJP, has been chosen to lead the Atal Smriti Nyas Society.
This society was created to honor the legacy of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and to take care of his memorial, Sadaiv Atal.
The previous head, Vijay Kumar Malhotra, passed away earlier this year.
Naidu was appointed on the eve of Vajpayee’s 100th birth anniversary.
Meanwhile, two countries, one in South Asia and another in North Africa, have shown interest in having an Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) campus.
The National Education Policy (NEP) supports Indian institutions setting up campuses abroad, and IIT Madras and IIT Delhi already have campuses in Zanzibar and Abu Dhabi, respectively.

Naidu's appointment was proposed by Ram Bahadur Rai and approved by other members, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
