BRS alleges Khammam civic body is hub of corruption, failures
Some grown-ups in a town called Khammam are angry with the city's main office, called the Khammam Municipal Corporation.
This office is supposed to take care of the town, like cleaning streets and fixing roads.
A group called BRS says the office is not doing a good job and that some workers there are being unfair.
Some officials were even arrested because they are suspected of taking money to give out houses.
The BRS group held a protest outside the office to show they were upset.
They wrote a letter listing problems like dirty streets, bad drinking water, broken streetlights and messy parks.
They also said someone was using office fuel for their own cars and selling some of it.
The BRS wants an honest check on how the office works and punishment for anyone who did wrong.
They said that if nothing changes, they will bring more townspeople to join their protest.
BRS members staged a protest outside the Khammam Municipal Corporation office on Thursday alleging corruption, administrative lapses and civic failures.
The protest followed the recent arrest of officials in an alleged bribery case related to the allotment of Indiramma houses.
A memorandum was submitted to the Municipal Deputy Commissioner covering sanitation, drinking water supply, road maintenance, street lighting, park upkeep and unauthorised constructions.
BRS alleged large-scale diesel irregularities, claiming fuel was drawn in the names of defunct vehicles and misused by officials and Congress leaders, with some allegedly sold.
The party sought a comprehensive independent investigation, criminal action against those responsible, and warned of intensified agitation by mobilising city residents.
