Kakinada Police Urge Ganesh Immersions Before Cyclonic Nightfall
Police in Kakinada want Ganesh idols to be immersed before it gets dark on September 23 and 24.
They are taking this step because cyclonic weather is expected.
There are 3,707 idols planned for immersion in the district.
Of these, 1,011 are scheduled for Wednesday.
Officials have selected several water bodies for the immersions.
Many government departments are working together to keep people safe.
Organisers have been asked to follow route maps and police instructions.
They have also been told not to use loud DJ music, perform obscene dances or consume alcohol and drugs.
