Bandi Sanjay visits Cellular Jail in Andaman

Bandi Sanjay Kumar, a minister in the Indian government, went on a three-day trip to the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

He visited the Cellular Jail, also known as Kala Pani, where many freedom fighters were imprisoned.

He paid respect to Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, who was held there.

The jail is a reminder of the hardships faced by those who fought for India's independence.

He also visited other historic sites like Subhash Chandra Bose Island and Viper Island.

In the evening, he watched a Light and Sound Show that told the stories of India's brave revolutionaries.

The minister said it's important to preserve these places to inspire future generations.

Additionally, Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated development projects worth Rs 373 crore, including an Integrated Command and Control Centre and a district hospital.

Shah emphasized the government's efforts to rename places to honor freedom fighters and free India from colonial symbols.
