Modi, Belgian PM De Wever Discuss Stronger Bilateral Cooperation

India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Belgium’s Prime Minister Bart De Wever in New Delhi.

They met to discuss closer cooperation between their countries.

Their discussions may cover trade, investment, defence, technology and transportation links.

De Wever also visited Rajghat to honor Mahatma Gandhi.

He is visiting India until September 4.

This is his first visit to India as Belgium’s prime minister.

It is also the first visit by a Belgian prime minister to India in 20 years.

The visit follows a Belgian economic mission to India in March 2025 that led to 38 agreements.
