Hindu Man Accuses Muslim Wife of Conversion Pressure in Kanpur
A man named Vineet Kumar from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, has accused his Muslim wife, Saniya, and her parents of trying to force him to convert to Islam.
He said that after their marriage in November 2023, Saniya and her family started pressuring him to change his religion.
When he refused, they argued and even threatened to file false criminal cases against him.
The situation got worse after their son was born in August 2025, when they pressured him to have the child circumcised.
Vineet also accused Saniya of physically assaulting him and stealing money and jewellery before leaving their home.
The police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.

An FIR was registered at Rawatpur police station under Sections 115(2), 308(6), and 351(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
Police are investigating the matter, with both sides to be questioned and further action based on the findings.
