NCPCR Summons Meta India Head Again Over Abuse Ads
India’s child-rights commission is investigating advertisements that allegedly promoted child sexual abuse material online.
The investigation began after a BBC Eye report about advertisements on Instagram.
The commission has called Meta India’s senior leader to answer questions again.
Meta has also been asked to stop such advertisements and report abuse cases to Indian authorities.
A separate investigation concerns alleged abuse of toddlers at a Capgemini day-care centre in Bengaluru.
Two caregivers were arrested in that case.
The commission will question a Capgemini vice president about what happened.

The NCPCR summoned Meta India’s managing director and head for September 16 in an inquiry into alleged child sexual abuse advertisements.
The inquiry followed a BBC Eye report alleging that Instagram ads directed users to Telegram to buy abusive videos.
India’s Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology previously ordered Instagram to disable such advertisements.
Meta has revised its reporting policy and begun reporting child sexual abuse cases to the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre.
The NCPCR also summoned a Capgemini vice president over alleged abuse of toddlers at a Bengaluru day-care centre.
