India finished top of Pool A with wins over Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Japan, South Korea and Bangladesh, and a goal difference of +45.
Heavy rain and a waterlogged pitch delayed the match and made movement difficult, but India adapted better to the conditions.
The result set up a semi-final between India and Pakistan on October 1; Malaysia will face South Korea in the other semi-final.
