NCP (SP) Protests in Baglan, Seeks Urgent Crop Damage Assessment
Nashik: NCP (SP) Leaders Gherao Baglan Tahsildar, Demand Immediate Crop Damage Assessment · freepressjournal.in

Farmers in Baglan are worried because there has been very little rain.

The NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar) party says many crops and orchards have been harmed.

Party workers protested at the local tehsil office on Wednesday.

They surrounded the local revenue official, Tahsildar Kailas Chawade.

They want officials to check how much crop damage has occurred.

They also want the government to receive the assessment report quickly.

The party asked for crop insurance money and other relief for farmers.

It said power cuts and transformer failures have made irrigation harder.

The government had reportedly directed officials to conduct assessments, but the local process had allegedly not started.
