Manchester to Host G20 Summit During UK Presidency
The United Kingdom says Manchester will host an important meeting called the G20 summit.
Leaders from the world’s biggest economies are expected to attend.
The meeting is planned for November 27 and 28, 2027.
The United Kingdom will lead the G20 for a year after taking over from the United States.
Prime Minister Andy Burnham used to lead Manchester as its mayor for almost ten years.
He is expected to announce the city’s selection during a trip to the United Nations in New York.
The UK says it wants countries to cooperate on security, defense, economic growth, fair trade, and artificial intelligence.
