Four MLAs who won on AIADMK tickets but later joined the ruling TVK government have been summoned to appear before the Tamil Nadu Assembly Speaker.

The AIADMK leader, Edappadi K Palaniswami, wants them disqualified under anti-defection laws.

The four MLAs will have a chance to explain their actions on July 30.

This comes after 21 other rebel MLAs were allowed back into the AIADMK after reconciling with the party leadership.
