Maharashtra FDA Launches Hotel Hygiene Drive Ahead of New Year
The Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is making sure hotels and restaurants are clean and safe for New Year celebrations.
Minister Narhari Zirwal has asked officers to check hotels for cleanliness, expired food, and proper food safety rules.
They started a special campaign called 'Swagat Navvarshacha, Sankalp Hotel Swachhatacha' from December 26 to January 15.
Hotels that follow the rules well will get awards.
The minister also talked about a recent fire in Jejuri and said they are testing some turmeric powder that was seized.

The minister also provided an update on the Jejuri fire incident, clarifying it was not linked to the bhandara (turmeric powder).
