Apple Plans Paid Siri AI Add‑Ons for iCloud+ Users
Apple said it might put some of its AI tools behind a paywall.
The company will let people use a free version of its Image Playground app, but those who pay for iCloud+ can use it more often and get faster answers.
Some new AI features, like watching home videos with Siri, will only work for people who have the biggest iCloud+ plan.
Apple’s boss, Tim Cook, said the company is still figuring out the details and will show more when the next iOS update comes out.
So, for now, the new AI tools are free for everyone, but the best ones will cost extra.
Apple will offer optional AI add‑ons for Siri, including higher usage limits and faster responses for iCloud+ subscribers.
Image Playground will have a daily free usage limit, with higher limits for iCloud+ users.
