Travis Barker recounts terrifying 2008 plane crash escape in documentary
A famous drummer named Travis Barker was on a small airplane a long time ago, in 2008.
The airplane was trying to take off at an airport in South Carolina, but something went very wrong.
The plane crashed and caught fire.
Travis's friend Adam was knocked out, so Travis woke him up.
They both jumped out of the plane just ten seconds before it exploded.
The fire hurt Travis very badly.
He broke all his ribs and hurt his back, and most of his body was burned.
He had to stay in the hospital for many months and had 27 surgeries.
Now, in a new documentary called 'Louder Than Fear', he tells his scary story.
Travis Barker, drummer of Blink-182, shared his escape story from a 2008 private jet crash in the new documentary 'Louder Than Fear'.
The plane crashed during take-off at an airport in South Carolina, killing four people.
Barker revived his friend Adam 'DJ AM' Goldstein, and the pair escaped about ten seconds before the plane exploded.

Travis Barker
Blink‑182 drummer recounting the jet explosion
“The plane attempted to take off and go into the air, and then we'd go down, go into the air, go down and we end up hitting an embankment. Just fire and chaos everywhere. AM was knocked out, he'd hit his head, so I grabbed him and I shook him and he woke up, tried to get in front of him and the lower parts of my arms caught fire. I opened the emergency exit and jumped out right into the jet where all the fuel is, then my whole body caught fire.”

“"I feel it getting very rough, I guess at this point the landing gear had blown up. The belly of the plane is basically on the ground skidding and it catches fire"”
