Man allegedly kills wife, dies by suicide in Karnataka · theprint.in

Police say a man in Karnataka may have killed his wife before taking his own life.

The woman was Salma, who was 22 years old.

Her husband, Moulasab, was 28 and worked as a mason and daily-wage labourer.

Police found Salma dead and Moulasab hanging from a ceiling fan in their home.

They believe the couple often argued because Moulasab suspected Salma was having an affair.

Relatives had held a meeting two days earlier to try to settle the arguments.

The couple had been married for three years and had a one-and-a-half-year-old child.

Salma’s grandmother filed a complaint alleging that Moulasab killed her with a knife.

Police have registered a murder case and are still investigating.
