Assam CM Seeks Silchar Civic Poll Sweep, Promises Connectivity
Assam’s chief minister asked people in Silchar to vote for his party’s alliance in the city elections.
The Bharatiya Janata Party has already won two seats without a contest.
The party wants to win all the remaining seats.
Sarma said better roads, trains and air travel would help southern Assam develop.
He mentioned a planned road corridor linking Silchar and Siliguri through Guwahati.

Voting will happen on October 3, and the votes will be counted on October 6.

Polling is scheduled for October 3 from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., with vote counting on October 6.
