VR Darshan Brings Dagdusheth Ganpati to Hospital Patients
Imagine a temple called Dagdusheth Ganpati in Pune, India.
People who are sick in the hospital couldn't go there.
But, using special VR glasses, they could see a virtual version of the temple!
A company used 360° cameras to record the temple during the celebration.
The patients felt like they were really there.
It helped them feel happy and peaceful.
This idea has been around for 10 years and is meant to share the temple experience with everyone, including those who can't go.
Patients at Pune hospitals experienced a VR darshan of Dagdusheth Ganpati.
The initiative was led by Digital Art VRe Private Limited.
360° cameras were used to capture the Ganpati aarti.
Around 50-60 patients at Kamala Nehru Hospital witnessed the VR darshan.
This initiative started 10 years ago and had an AR experience during the pandemic.
