Shreeniti Chowdhury Reaches Two Finals at Bengaluru J30
Shreeniti Chowdhury had a very successful day at a junior tennis tournament in Bengaluru.
She lost the first set of her singles match but won the next two sets.
This helped her reach the girls’ singles final.
She also won a doubles semifinal with Riddhi Shinde.
Shreeniti will play Aahida Singh in the singles final.
Aahida beat Zoha Qureshi in straight sets.
In the boys’ event, Niyanth Badrinarayanan defeated top seed Tejas Ravi.
Fazal Ali Meer won the other boys’ semifinal after a close three-set match.
Shreeniti Chowdhury overturned an opening-set loss to defeat Vasundra Balajee 3-6, 6-1, 6-1 in the girls’ singles semifinal.
Shreeniti also reached the girls’ doubles final with Riddhi Shinde at the KSLTA World Tennis Tour Junior J30 Bengaluru.
Shreeniti will face fellow Bengaluru player Aahida Singh, who defeated Zoha Qureshi 6-2, 6-0.
Niyanth Badrinarayanan of the USA beat top seed and home favourite Tejas Ravi 7-6 (6), 6-4 in the boys’ semifinal.
Fazal Ali Meer defeated Vivaan Mirdha 6-4, 1-6, 7-5 to join Niyanth in the boys’ singles final.
