Teenager Allegedly Crashes Rented Audi, Killing Pedestrian in Delhi
Police say a 17-year-old was driving a rented Audi in southwest Delhi.
Around 2:30 a.m.
on October 4, the car allegedly hit three vehicles near the Kishangarh red light.
A pedestrian named Umashankar was badly hurt and later died at a hospital.
The teenager reportedly learned about the rental from a social media video.
He contacted the number in the video and gave a driver’s licence for verification.
Investigators say no app was involved in the transaction so far.
Police have taken the vehicles and are checking CCTV footage and rental records.
They are also trying to learn who was in the Audi and who drove it during the rental period.
