Pakistan is going to be in charge of a United Nations group that makes sure sanctions (like freezing money or stopping travel) are followed for people and groups connected to the Taliban.

This group is part of the UN Security Council.

They will also help with another group that fights terrorism.

Other countries will assist Pakistan in these roles.

India has previously raised questions about Pakistan's record in regards to terrorism.

There are also new countries joining the council in the coming years.
