Ballari Restricts Public Ganesh Celebrations in Three Villages
Officials in Ballari are worried that public Ganesh celebrations could cause disturbances in three villages.
They have temporarily stopped people from installing Ganesh idols in public places there.
The villages are No.
15 Gonal, No.
10 Mudlapura and Honnalli.
Public entertainment programmes connected to the festival are also not allowed in these areas.
Officials have asked people to avoid unnecessary gatherings in public places.
The order was issued by Deputy Commissioner K Nagendra Prasad.
It followed a report from the district police chief.
The goal is to help the festival take place peacefully and protect public order.
