PM Modi Urges Youth to Help with Accurate Census Data

India is doing a big survey to count all its people, called the Census.

The leader of India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, made a speech on Independence Day.

He asked young people to help their families fill in the survey.

Even giving one or two hours of their time can help the country a lot, he said.

The survey collects details like names and addresses, which the government uses to make plans.

Sometimes workers make mistakes when they write down these details.

So Modi said families should write the answers on paper first and check for mistakes.

Then they can type the information into their phones or computers.

A government worker will later visit to talk about the answers.

Getting the details right helps India grow in the right direction.
