Aaditya Thackeray Urges Maharashtra Government to Fix Chakan MIDC Crisis

He said 20 industries in Chakan were in a position to relocate and alleged corruption, including bribes of Rs 1,500 per square metre being demanded for MIDC plots.
Citing a Lok Sabha reply, he said around 35,300 industries had shut down or left Maharashtra in the past five years, impacting employment.
He rejected the proposed 14-member committee as 'too many cooks' and urged the government to appoint a single capable officer like Tukaram Munde, also challenging Industry Minister Uday Samant to visit Chakan like an ordinary commuter.
The Maharashtra government disputed the Opposition's interpretation of the data, saying many companies in the figures were already defunct and had never started operations.
