A 17-year-old girl named Mansi Yadav died by suicide after her relatives accused her of stealing a gold necklace.

The incident happened in Kalamboli, Navi Mumbai, where Mansi lived with her extended family.

On September 4, her uncle called her to his house and questioned her about the missing necklace.

Her aunt and cousin also allegedly humiliated her, which caused her severe mental trauma.

The next day, Mansi was taken to the police station, and a theft case was filed against her and her friend.

Unable to bear the humiliation, Mansi died by suicide at her residence.

The police have since arrested her uncle and filed a case against her relatives for abetment to suicide.

Mansi was a bright student who had just passed her Class 12 exams and was admitted to a college in Khopoli.
