The Musi River Development Corporation Limited (MRDCL) is speeding up the construction of a bridge across Mir Alam Tank in Hyderabad.

The Managing Director, EV Narsimha Reddy, has directed officials to accelerate the construction while also starting lake cleaning and island development works.

The bridge construction is 40% complete in pile works, and additional machinery and manpower are being deployed to speed up the process.

The Water Board has been ordered to prepare a plan to prevent untreated sewage from entering the lake.
