13 Years After Jhiram Ghati Attack, NIA Court Convicts 10
A Maoist attack happened at Jhiram Ghati 13 years ago.
It killed 27 people and hurt Chhattisgarh’s Congress leadership.
A special court connected to the National Investigation Agency has now convicted 10 accused people.
The court is in Jagdalpur, in Bastar.
The convicted people include Pramila Modiyam and Chaitu Lekam, also known as Munna.
Some other people named in the case were not convicted.
These included Thippiri Tirupathi and Barse Deva.
Another accused person, Ganesh Uikey, had already died in an encounter in Odisha in December 2025.

The Maoist attack killed 27 people and severely weakened Chhattisgarh’s Congress leadership.
The convicted individuals include Pramila Modiyam, Chaitu Lekam alias Munna and eight others.
Several prominent people named in the chargesheet were not convicted, including Thippiri Tirupathi and Barse Deva.
Ganesh Uikey, a central committee member, was killed in a December 2025 encounter in Odisha.
