Punjab Farmers Halted En Route to Delhi Protest

A large group of farmers from Punjab were stopped by the police in Haryana while they were traveling to Delhi to protest against a trade deal between India and the US.

The farmers were carrying flags and had planned to join a big meeting called Kisan Mahapanchayat in Delhi.

The police had set up barriers to prevent them from entering Delhi.

Later, some government officials met with the farmers, listened to their concerns, and promised to help.

The farmers said they would decide their next steps soon.
