Congress Sweeps Jaipur Re-Polls as BJP Secures Kota Majority

Some local election wards in Rajasthan had to vote again.

In Jaipur, Congress won all four wards that were counted.

In Kota, the BJP won two wards and Congress won one.

This gave the BJP 57 of Kota’s 100 council seats.

Because it has more than half the seats, the BJP will form the Kota municipal board.

In Jodhpur, BJP’s Hemaram Choudhary won Ward 50 by 83 votes.

The vote count there was delayed because an electronic voting machine malfunctioned.

A re-poll was held before the final result was announced.
