BJP Wins Udaipur Majority, Leads Rajasthan Urban Local Body Results

The BJP won most seats in the Udaipur city election.

It won 53 of the 80 wards there.

This means it can form the city’s municipal board on its own.

The BJP has now done this in Udaipur for seven terms in a row.

Congress won 23 wards in Udaipur.

In Jaipur, the BJP won 78 of the 146 wards whose results were announced.

Congress won 53 Jaipur wards, while independents won 15.

Results for four Jaipur wards were delayed because voting machines had technical problems.

Across Rajasthan’s 309 civic bodies, the BJP received slightly more votes than Congress.
