Telangana High Court Seeks State Stand on Prohibited Property List
In India, there is a special list of properties that people are not allowed to buy or sell.

A man named Amera Pasha said this was a big problem for people.
He said people could not check if a property was safe to buy.

The Telangana High Court directed the state government's counsel to inform the court of the government's stand on a petition over the unpublished prohibited properties list.
Petitioner Amera Pasha said the list's non-availability in the public domain caused serious hardship to citizens verifying property status before transactions.
Justice N.V. Shravan Kumar observed that details of agricultural lands in the prohibited list, including nala-converted lands, should be made available publicly.
Advocate Vijay Gopal said repeated attempts to access the list failed, with the website showing a message that the list was 'under review'.
The petitioner alleged some properties actually on the prohibited list were not shown as prohibited, potentially misleading purchasers; the matter was adjourned to August 20.
