Mizoram Police Seize Over Rs 8 Crore in Drugs
Mizoram police in India found a lot of bad drugs in three places.
On August 1, they stopped a truck in Champhai and took almost 10 kilograms of meth.
They also caught a maxicab with 118 grams of heroin in a border area.
In Aizawl, they seized 241 grams of heroin from a pickup truck.
Four people were arrested, and the police are investigating more.
All the drugs were taken because they are illegal in India.
Mizoram police seized heroin and methamphetamine tablets worth over Rs 8 crore in three operations in Champhai and Aizawl.
9.79 kg of methamphetamine was recovered from a truck intercepted on August 1, and the driver Vanlalruatsaka was arrested.
118 g of heroin worth Rs 23.6 lakh was seized from a maxicab at Khankawn check gate, and the driver Vanlalmuana was arrested.
241.21 g of heroin was seized in Aizawl by the Special Narcotics Police Station, and traffickers Hussain Ahmed Laskar and Noor Ahmed Laskar were arrested.
All arrests and seizures were booked under the NDPS Act; further investigations are underway.
